Introduction Garman Ryan Collection Discovery Gallery Permanent Collection Architecture: : The home of the collection Permanent Collection The Walsall Borough Art Collection started in 1892 and now contains over 1,500 sculpture, painting and prints both historic and contemporary. About a third of the works relate to Walsall and its people, over 100 modern prints are by well known artists from 1960's to the present day and a number of important contemporary artworks have been purchased through the Contemporary Art Society Special Collections Scheme. Some of the works are on permanent display in the Discovery Gallery the rest are displayed in temporary exhibitions.
