The New Art Gallery Walsall is delighted to announce a new partnership project with DASh called Outside In.

 

Outside IN is a new project which aims to increase the number of disabled and deaf artists working partnership with mainstream galleries.

 

The New Art Gallery Walsall is inviting proposals from disabled artists who are looking to develop their practice over a 12 month period in partnership with the gallery and its audiences.  The opportunity is open to all artists who feel they work under the description of disability arts.  The emphasis of the commission is on the creation of new ideas and engaging audiences within this process, rather than exhibiting a resolved outcome. The artist will have access to the gallery's Artists' Studio and potentially contribute to the gallery's events programme.

 

Commission fee: £5,000 plus expenses and materials

Deadline for submissions is Monday 19 October 2009
